My people, my people!
Look at my people
out in the streets “celebrating” the Lakers
setting fires, attacking buses, running wild in the streets,
driving with Lakers flags and yelling
out the windows
as if they have been liberated from white supremacy,
as if victory over the European colonial occupation forces
has finally been achieved,
as if freedom from
the colonial settlers on our continent has arrived.
But we do not even know that we are colonized
or that we are an occupied people
or that we need to be liberated!
But this Lakers shit is not a celebration of anything to do with our people.
This is pure commercial-inspired emotional masturbation.
Absolutely nothing positive will come of this.
These “Lakers fans” will only have a little less cash in their pockets
and present us as a total embarrassment in front of the whole world.
In past “victories” there have even been people killed in these "celebrations."
Many are arrested each time.
And all for what?
It’s not as if we have nothing to be proud of.
We have great accomplishments, ancient civilizations,
and the beauty of our Nican Tlaca cultures.
But we know nothing of all of this.
Before 1492 we had the best knowledge of astronomy, calendars, mathematics, medicine, anatomy, botany, writing systems, books, educations systems, architecture, art, and so much more
but none of this do we know
even in the minimalist real sense.
What do we have to show for the last 500 years of white supremacist occupation?
Europeans killed 95% of our people and we don’t care.
70 to 100 million of our people throughout our continent
were killed and we don’t care.
But we care about the Lakers.
What fools we are.
What slaves and fools they have made of us.
They destroyed our cities and our libraries, and we don’t care.
They raped our people and culturally castrated us, and we don’t care.
They have made us their slaves and robbed us of all of our land,
all of our wealth has been stolen from us, and we don’t care.
They force us into poverty on our rich continent,
and we don't care.
They steal from our continent everyday,
and we don't care.
But Lakers, we care, we will kill for Lakers, go to jail for Lakers,
burn buses, set fires, lose a day of work for the Lakers: that we will do.
We know Lakers, Dodgers, Raiders, “Futbol”, and boxers,
baseball players,
but
nothing that can be called real pride, our pride.
We have no real knowledge of Olmecs, Caral, Zapotecs, Teotihuacan,
Tajin, Mayas, Mexica, and the rest of our civilizations.
We know rancheras, rap, hip hop, metal, punk, European classics, polkas,
and the best of the pendejadas and the narco songs
that prevent us from doing any real thinking:
we ain’t thinking because we’re “into our music."
We seem to have a sign that reads:
"Please do not disturb
the musical masturbation
going on inside my head!
Please don't make me think!"
My people, my people
when will we all learn
true pride, and a real sense of honor
don't come out of music or sports
or drugs or obsessions with money or sex.
The Lakers are irrelevant,
none of our people are even on the team!!!!!!!!!
The real deal is the genocide that is going on in our neighborhoods
and the reservations, and the pueblitos.
And yeah, the killings by the gangs in the cities.
And the drugs that make our people stupid and stupider.
And the cowardice and selfishness of our people
that keeps us slaves of the white world,
spits us out as fools to the rest of the world.
Okay, okay, ok, no one really cares, I get it.
Our people are slaves, unable to think themselves out of their
European-made oppression.
But some one of you out there must care
and do the right thing
by joining in our struggle
to educate and liberate our people!
All the rest of our people
are just waiting for the end of the world, or heaven,
or Jesus resurrected in his blond hair
or some doomsday
or some New Age 2012
or something not requiring study of our heritage, courage,
or to actually do something
to educate and liberate our people.
Ignorant cowards and fools we are:
calling ourselves Hispanics and Latinos.
Ignorant slaves and punks we are:
doing the white man's dirty work.
The white supremacist man tells us that
we got better things to do
other than to think.
We burn incense, hit the bong, play the tunes,
and sleep through life
because having real courage is out of the question:
unless we join the USA Armed Forces
or join a gang
and then go off and kill innocent people
for no real reason,
for no reason
that serves the interests of our people.
Everything about this
white supremacist controlled world is fake, a lie,
and a tool for white people to rule.
We have been conditioned for 500 years to kiss their ass,
to kneel when told to,
to love them
and their pinche Lakers.
We have been conditioned to be their punks.
No matter what we do
we seem to always end up their slaves:
slaves in the field
or multi-millionaire slaves with our own businesses
serving the white supremacist world
betraying our people,
betraying our ancestors.
We will not learn of ourselves from sports, songs,
or the writings of vendidos and vendidas.
We will not learn it from white people
We will not learn it even from
the good revolutionary-thinking black people
and definitely not from Che or Marxists.
We can only learn of ourselves from our ancestors,
But not by dressing up “Indian” at Pow Wows or burning incense.
Even worse than that is to do sweatlodge rituals and sundances
pretending to be warriors
but not actually upholding the duties of warriors
by aggressively defending our people and confronting
the enemies of our people.
This Lakers crap, the “futbol”, or the next boxing match, or “party”
and all the numbing music seems to be all we live for.
We only seem to want money and sex.
We only seem to need the white man's approval.
We know nothing of real honor, real dignity,
because we have no knowledge, no leaders, no freedom.
But there’s more to life than for us to be
the clowns and fools of the white man.
Knowledge is there waiting for us
but we have to approach it, earn it, share it,
take pride in it, and live with it.

Ah yes, all so true. Olin you out did yourself, again. It shows how numb our people really are. They still have not realized what really has happened to them. We've been so terribly stripped of our identity, our culture, our self-respect, our families, our religion, that our people are left to act like idiots because they have no idea otherwise. They must feel like there is no other importance in their lives except to follow the sheep that also have no culture. Look at all those cultureless people. They are walkin around with no heads. This is their culture. To adore people that are so tall in an effortless game where they are so tall that their hands are inches away from the hoop. To adore these people that just push you by if you are in their way and just smirk at you because they think that they are such great athletes. Why dont they try a real game like juego de pelota where you have to throw a big heavy rubber ball into a small disk with your hip??? These people feel like there is no other thing to do with their lives except to follow these people like puppies because their lives would be so boring and fruitless. Exactly what the whiteman wants. People, wake up, the whiteman hates us. They let your chain some slack and let you destroy some busses and city things so they can throw your asses in jail. You are exactly in the place they want you to be. You are contribuiting to their well being by giving them a paycheck while you loose yours in jail. They also make sure you now have a record which makes it harder for you to even get a paycheck. Can't you see the trap and the hate? Actually,there are many things you can use your extra time with. You can learn Nahuatl and Maya. You can learn about our culture like what our gods represent and how to use their wisdom in our everyday life along with our calendars and learning to respect the earth like God wants us to do. We can all learn to be warriors and the men can learn to defend our women's and childrens honor and defend us like you would in a tribe and nation. There is a lot to do but you can't if you are creating havoc and behaving like a fool at a stupid Laker rally. zaps

Well, of course its stupid to celebrate a team/sport to an extreme that has no purpose to nurturing life, and rather causes a disturbance. I didn't like the part about people enjoying their music. I know many people that love this "modern mexican" music, yet are studying to be professors of chicano studies. I myself am into metal, and there are even bands I like. Such as Kukulcan & Xibalba that talk about Nican Tlaca pride and hating on what the Europeans did to us. I get what you're saying about us lost in modern ways, but we're not all like that. I want more simpler times to be, but we're stuck in a corprational world now. With the Federal Reserve and corrupt government. It's a white mans world and we have to fight it. And not celebrate a team, from America, that serves no purpose to our people.
I agree 100%. Our race doesn't have many representatives because of the self-destruction due to drugs, gang stupidity and educational ignorance not to mention the racism we have to deal with, we are almost left to look at other people that we could identify with or represent us. But yet in this desperate identity crisis we deny who we are and erase our beautiful heritage and adopt foreign culures and race(anglo/negro) that do LITTLE FOR US and SPEAK NOTHING FOR US but alot of our people still embrace this with little or no shame. Let me ask, why are all these ignorant idiots who call themsleves "Aztec Warriors", running around like a prairie dog wearing a # 24 yellow and purple shirt screaming and yelling looking like a complete pendejo with no identity.? The shame of calling themselves mighty aztec warriors while praising some african descendant(with a whinny ass attitude). This is a changing world and I will assure you before the whole world, when the time comes when many more of our people finally make it into the entertainment biz you will not see an african wearing a lopez or chavez sports T-shirt passionately cheering him/her on. It is clear that the white man has taught, MANY, but not all, black
people not to accept other races. This is the same reason i stopped watching boxing because of the racism committed against our people by BOTH black and white people. yet,i don't hate either of this races but i can certainly identify and understand the offenses against my own culture, to the appearant chagrin of those "laker lovers".
Very true! The smokescreen of the media/sports/movies is hard to see through. We are being distracted, steered in the direction that serves "the man."
Please learn your roots, talk , join up with others in the same mindset.
We arent going to kick out the europeans, but we can grow as a culture and personally. Thats a start. Thats the place to start. Learn, talk to folks with similar ways of thinking. go to a rally or meetup.
And slow down and stop the distraction or "drug" called pro sports. leave that for someone else to pay for.
